it is helpful, if you buy clear lights or tinted with no red reflector incorperated its usually to make your car look better, sticking red reflectors on bumper or boot does the exact opposite and makes it look like a halfords ram raid!
im saving him from ridicule at the next meet/cruise he goes to.
or stick them to a cat, they're terrible for walking out in front of cars now its getting dark earlyier, lighter coloured cats are easier to see so go for a black one.

ive not had any on last 4novas and never once bin mentioned and bin tugged a few times. but seeing as its the law ignor my prior comments and maybe get trimmed down ones that fit in the colour strip on the bumpers,

Don't they have to be of certain size for the MOT? Can't be ****d to check right now lol

If they're smoked or clear, you could chop the upper section off a std pair and make them half red and half clear/smoked...

Stick them on your mudflaps, rear headrests lol or just simply put them in the glove box incase you get pulled or need them for the next MOT

The police see clear lights as an issue because they reflect white light instead of red and there for they could mistake you for driving towards them lol

mudflaps is a good idea but i dont think they'd be visible enough

Clear lights are for poofs.

In all serious.... doesn't matter how many people say that they've never been pulled with x amount of years driving without them. It only needs you to be pulled over once for it and you'll be having a bad day.

Have a look at this page.

Although its not a legal substitute I would probably go along the lines of reflective tape. At least this will minimise the impact of putting reflectors on the back and if you are pulled over... and the bobby is on the ball you can claim that you thought reflective tape was ok.
