i have a 1.2 carbed nova just now and it is getting very tired. It needs a new headgasket and sometimes runs on 3 cylinders. It has also done about 200,000 miles. I dont think it is going to last long. Anyway i really want to convert it to a 1300/1400 sr engine so what all needs done? What parts will i need? I know it fits straight in the nova without changing mounts etc. Is all the fuel lines/pumps the same etc? if someone could tell me everything needed it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Lines/tank and pump is the same.

Just unbolt the 1.2 engine, bolt in the Sr engine.
Re-connect the starter/alternator loom, wire up about 4 wires that go to the SR's ignition coil.

You'll also need an extra coolant pipe and t-piece for the autochoke on the sr engine.

And thats it, you can even use the 1.2 exhaust. Altho the SR manifold/downpipe is much better.

thanks, what wired do you have to join on the coil? Is it possible just to put a sr coil in?
