Right, if i had a full cavvy 1.7TD what would i need of it to get the engine into a nova? the nova is a 1.2 spi flair/spin..

Wouldi need any engine mounts?

Is this an easy conversion?

Just asking as my mate has a cavvy td that hes going to scrap, and i have a nova shell that we could put it in..

Cheers martin

I really wouldnt bother, try to find a 1.5 Isuzu lump if you really want a diesel. The 1.7's are dire! Mine drinks more diesel than my Nova drinks unleaded!

Really! Youll end up with an engine that performs like an SR and drinks like an SR, all youll gain is a lot of extra weight for a lot of extra work.

The 1.5 is much more economical, and actually performs better IMO

I agree my 1.7 diesel cavalier is pritty crap for a diesel around town, but on the motorway its really good.
