Big puddle under car, nothing absorbent availiable. Sweeping it away just making problem worse.. Water heading towards lots of stuff id rather keep dry...

..So i went into scrapheap challenge mode lol

Ingredients..

1 X Washer motor
1 X washer pipe
2 X 2M lengths of Halfrauds 12v cable
1 X Halfrauds 12v cable reel with slot cut in it
1 X roll of insulation tape for ballast
1 X Varta car battery
1 X Bucket

= Workshop water syphoner!!

What i don't get is couldnt you of just used an old towel or just moved your gear to a dry part lol ? I like the invention though very er ....... unique !

And my unit is full, theres no room to move anything!!

And it wasnt the roof, it was the monsoon we had the other day creating a puddle bigger than the red sea out the front which poured in!!

I like it, a mini hippo pump. did you have to suck on it to prime it through?
About 15 years ago, when I was young & naive, I used a washer pump to drain my nova 1.2 fuel tank so I could stick a new level sender in. The damned thing had 8 gallons in it & the pump got too hot to hold, but it worked.....I would not recommend it
