well vauxhall mad the GTE-GSI with 14" rims so they must have thought they were the best size at the time. plus you can get some really decent tyres for the 14s as well. ive also been looking at Compomotive TH's but they are ?110 a wheel 14x6.

14 inch cav steelies (with large holes cut out, not the later Vectra type ones) only 5.5 inches wide though.

I have been looking for a set of 14 inch Mk2 Golf steelies as these are 6 inches wide, thus allowing me to fit 195 45 14 Toyo T1Rs. Only problem will be the offset, but with such a small wheel and round arches, I think it should be ok.

Car is now dropped 40mm, so looks a bit less like its wearing stilts!

the wheels are 14inch tsw alpine alloys sprayed in black, they look ok i think
i agree that smaller alloys look so much better on nova's anything over 16inch looks stupid in my opinion

I had a mint SRi in red when i was 18,standard apart from a K&Nlol ,that had the O.E steels on it as i really liked them, the lad that bought it fitted a set of 15" venom's as soon as he bought it though:roll: ,was 7 years ago but still tastelesslol
Ive got about 14 SRi steels(2 have never been on a car)and a set of centre caps, did think of refurbing a set and trying them on my GSi,do have to grind the face of the astra 16v calipers to get them to clear though.

A Jetta is a MK 1 or 2 golf with a boot. Same wheels as they fit to Golfs, they will fit a Nova, but rub like a s1ut as the offset it et38.

mayhem! that nova is a beast! it looks so mean, is it hard to put different outa parts of a wheel on then? as i take it thats what he's done?

mayhem
10-01-07, 09:33 PM
there the original wheels of a kadett gt (a 89' opel, in the uk nown as a astra i think??)

just go to a 'wheel docter', the can widen steel wheels. a populair and cheap methode to get wide wheels overhere in the netherlands and Germany.

SRlew
11-01-07, 11:15 AM
original wheels!! thats nuts!

might look into having a set widend

Iain
