i started taking the pinstripe and bump strips off my nova earlier using a pinstrip removal bit that you put into the end of your drill and it took them off fine on most of the car but on one bit it has taken the paint off, someone said this is filler are they right?? What shall i do about it? thanks

not necessarily.

If the paint came off when removing the bump strips what colour is the stuff underneath. Stick a magnet on it - that will tell you if its filler ot not.

You'll need to sand back and respray it. Dont matter if its filler as long as its a good job. If its on a door it might have had a small prang and the fillers just a skim to flush it back out.

is there a bit where the paint joins underneath the bump strips on the doors? as there seems to be a line where i have removed them and the paint has come off.
