whats the difference between a standard cam pulley and an aftermarket pulley?

is it the weight or size?

Sposed to be lighter.

Also they have the allen bolts so you can adjust the cam timing.

Its mainly to do with the adjustment... the timing can be set more accurately
with a vernier fitted

this is true, providing the cam would need such work. I personally have gone back to a standard vernier as i didnt get any gains from an adjustable one on my particular engine

fair enough then ppl, i wont bother, ive only got a standard cam anyway, i was just curious, ill just paint my current one instead!

Lol, i just sprayed my std pulley aluminium, and put a dab of red paint on the timing mark, looks rather good if i say so myself :)
And cost about ?2 to do,Lol.
