is there an easy way to do this?? ive removed them in the past but by the time ive actually got them to come off i was knackered! there must be a simple way without knocking seven bells of sh!t out of it....

loosen bolt but leave it on couple of turns, use ratchet extention and hammer, give bolt couple of hard whacks, with ignition on so steering lock is off, it should ping loose as is a compession fit, the shaft is tappered so bolt forces it onto shaft! hope this helps

cheers lads. i'll give a whack and see if it comes off. i aint buying a proper tool, its on my girlfriends car so she'll have to live with a tatty wheel! lol

Bit dodgy that as column can collapse when hitting it.
Draper do the tool for about a tenner, got one a few years back. Best tenner my dad ever spent lol

As said, buy a pulller of fleabay, cheaper & easier then a new colunm!
