I have lowered my car 60mm all round and I put performance shocks on the front and back about 10 months ago.
I had to take the front shocks back off and put the standard ones back on because the wheels scrubbed at the front constantly !!! There?s no scrubbing at the back, just the front. I came to the conclusion that the shocks must have been shortened struts ?
Even with the standard shocks it scrubs a bit at the front. In a month I am going to be starting my 2.0l conversion I can?t carry on running it on standard shocks with a 60mm drop. So what do I do ?

The wheels are not the correct offset, which is contributing to the problem, but I can't afford to get new wheels.

Any ideas.

send springs off to get them reprofiled, about ?30 i think, make em harder, ride will be more bouncy but should hit the arch less

shocks have no effect on the ride height unless they are at min or max extent

your problem is them wheels mate, your best bet is to get at new set with a 49mm off set.

What size tyres do you have on there? if you have 50's it may be an idea to try 45's.

also check the width, if its 205mm then you need 195mm or even 185mm

whatever you do, dont ask vauxhall for bumostops - they don't know what they are. Try phoning the place where you got them from if they can supply you with some bumpstops for your shocks. Other than that, try looking on your standard shocks for the bumpstop.
