XE Trouble

Right, Recently fitted an xe to a corsa with my mate..

it idles fine and runs oki until you get to high revs near on the rev limit then the power dies and you nearly get thrown thru the window lol until you change up then its fine and does it agen..

also its not charging the batterie could this have anything to do with it?

anybody have this problem before?

Yes. The battery issues are totally to do with it.

Its likely a poor earth, renew the strap from gearbox to chassis & run a new earth wire from the alt brkt to the -ve terminal.

Then come back & tell me it runs like a dream....

Try Halfords for the Earth strap. Few quid..

Or go to a automotive battery shop, we have a crumby place round here that sell batteries & rebuild alternators etc. They can check the current flowing in the charging circuit etc & tell you if you are losing any amps through the earths etc.

You want some nice beefy cable with some proper ring terminals crimped onto the ends.
