Heater Controls

I took the heater controls (the slidey ones) off to change the bulb but i accidently pulled off the two little cable with the metal cylinders on the ends (to adjust the settings). I cant work out how to get them back on with coming off every time it goes up and down more than once. Also why do only half of my rear windows heater things work? HELP!

If it`s a mk1 and you`ve taken the cables off the top they`re a right bastard to get back on! When you`ve clipped `em in properly (it`s easier to unscrew the cables as well and plull them up a bit) just screw it back together before you move anything!

yeah i spent ages sorting this out on my mates car, really fidely. You have to slot them in place i think it's best if you have the slidy bits in the down position ( not 2 sure ) then twist the surround upwards and they lock into place. Then fit it all back carefully,

just play with it, it's all i did, eventually you will see how it all fits.
