right this has to go in the muppet section because thats exactly what i was being a "MUPPET".

driving home down the m2 from leysdown i got involved in a little race with a CLK KOMPRESSOR merc, he sat on my bumper and kept flashing so i pulled into middle lane and as he came past i pulled out behind him and started flashing him, he moved over at about 130(on my speedo) i carried on til i was off the clock(not sure of speed). when i slowed down the merc caught up again, he then pulled into middle lane and sitting behind him was a lovely silver/blue and yellow Kent police Volvo:cry:. OH FLUCKING DEAR!!!!

i was flashed and pulled over, the copper was joining m2 from a slip road, saw the merc and went to chase him but then he saw me accelerating away from the merc. oh dear. he told me he hit 150mph :eek:trying to catch me, and wen the merc pulled in i was still doin 100mph(being a cock!)

he gave me the usual briefing etc and that he was within his rights to ban me there and then but was very lieniant as i need a licence for my work, and that my bro is fairly high up in kent police and deals with traffic fatalilities in kent so i'd eplianed that i was aware how stupid id been id just got carried away as hadnt driven it for 4days and had been in missus 1.4 pug206, and normally drive very safely as ive had the dangers drilled into my by my bro.

long story short i got the best christmas present, he didnt ban me and is not taking me to court, i just got a ?60fine and 3Points, oh and a slap round the head:tard: from the missus who was in the passenger seat.

needless to say this is going to slow me down a hell of a lot, saving it for track days and the pod from now on!!!!!:thumb:

so just remember not everyone will be that lucky, how i didnt see the police car on the slip road is beyond me as i thought i was very observant! can happen to anyone lol

I know exactly how that feels to be in that situation as a very similar thing happend to me after i recieved some road rage whilst in my old XE`d nova and got cut up and forced onto the wrong side of the road by a to55er in a saxo vts, needless to say i didnt give up and ended up doing around 90mph on a city street (very not clever) i was pulled and if it hadnt been for the copper driving the T5 being called away urgently to an armed break in nearby, i would definately have lost my licence!!
I decided afterwards that im still not mature enough to have an XE so i got rid of it and currently drive a 1.2spi!!!
I was very VERY lucky not to have hurt or killed anyone, and i normally pride myself on being a coonsiderate driver, just shows how wrong you can be about yourself!!

been in that situation too! was coming home one night along the deully in the early hours of the morning, about 2am, with a totally clear road ahead, stuck my foot down jst to get home, glanced down and was doing about 125ish when noticed some headlights beheind me, low and behold a copper had been coming up the sliproad as i went past, so i stuck the anchors on down to 65-70, but he had already got his camra on me and the offical speed was averageing 106mph! had to go to court and got a 42 day ban and 100quid fine! did a hell of alot of push biking for those 6weeks!

so yes mate you were bloody lucky!!

!!

Thats odd, speeding is a much worse offence than armed robbery, thats what they've made me believe anyway!

Anyway..

C0ck!

but was very lieniant as i need a licence for my work

So that means you deserve to keep your license over someone that doesn't need it for work.............?

The copper must have been seriously leniant(maybe pissed,Lol) as i think that sort of speed is an instant ban and fine.

i was certain i was gonna get banned!! wen the merc moved over and i saw the police car my **** dropped out big time!!!
was so nervous i stalled on hard shoulder cos didnt take out of gear before releasing the clutch!

The copper said i crossed the white lines 3 times thats why they thought i was pissed lol

H15 NVA = c0ck lol lucky lad!

I am a c0ck also! but a lucky one :p

Wana here my story? *takes deep breath*

Coming home from work last Thursday, about 1:30am, I was on the phone to my mate all the way (not clever I know! 10 min journey) came off the 50mph (It's empty at this time...) dual carrigeway having some 'fun' with the french **** driven by the lad I work next to, I usually turn straight off into my estate, 30 limit, and he dissappears the other way. However, I had lost him on the 50 road so decided to go straight accross the roundabout and join the other dual carrigeway, about 1/4 mile long - it has the previous dual carrigeway running down one side and a massive 50ft ish concrete wall on the other, so no side turns, paths etc.
Anyway, I seen around 70/80 mph down there then the headlamps reappeared, I thought LoL there you are...
Turned into the built up (lit) area (doing 30mph) at the end of the DC and noticed it was the 5-0  (damn new focus headlamps) My **** went, I hung up my phone and the cop car came and sat right on my ****, then he pulled me.
We got out and the convo went as follows...
PC: Hello Liam, still driving like that I see
Me: Errm tonight I guess yeah, sorry, I'm in a rush to get home, no excuse I know
PC: Do I look familiar to you Liam?
Me: No, although I assume by this conversation I have had some dealings with you in the past.. (I'm a good lad, only ever had a driving ban, no real police troubles at all)
PC: Still got the Primera
ME: Errr yeah, how do you know me?
PC: I'm the nasty copper that used to fine you for your number plate spacing and clocked you at 100+ (116mph) on the a19, remember
Me: *gulp oh ***** Oh yeah, I do *v worried*
PC: you got banned for that didn't you?
Me: Yes I did, and I can see it's hard to believe but I do drive within the limits 99% of the time now, I'm not going to tell you I do all the time, because I won't lie to you, but I've done about 20K miles all over the country this year and haven't so much as gotten 4 points from a scamera van
PC: *getting in car*
Me: Is that it, am I free to go?
PC: Yeah, get yourself away, lucky I wasn't in a traffic car with the VASCAR - and slow down *laughing*
Me: Thanks a lot mate - Merry Xmas :p

Sooo to sum it up, I was v v v v lucky there, 50 in a 30 is good enough for a ban I think? Downside is my Nova is now a marked car with him more than likely, just as my Primera is/was because of the grave offence of wrongly spaced no. plate.

However, I now know who the PC is that waves at me when I'm outside working on my cars! lol

Guess I was a famous catch when he got me banned on a19 lol, he did say "all I saw was this silver streak" that was 3.5 years ago...

With age comes maturity and more common sense, I'm getting better, I have never been dangerous, but I did used to have a bit of a lead foot!

Still here? Thanks for reading my essay!

SLOW DOWN!! :)

I have a similar story, it happened about 4 years ago, i was in my Cav saloon, and at the time, i had a few people who i wasnt flavour of the month with, one of them was a big beefy bastid who i pretty sure could have punched down a brick wall. Suffice to say i didnt really want to 'meet' with him at any point.

Anyhow, im heading up cold ash hill at about midnight, which is pretty steep, going 30 in a 30 limit, and an astra pulls out behind me. For some reason, police didnt enter my head, only 'that big meat head has an astra... ooo poo, think id better get out of here'. I floored it and he started to chase me, so adrenaline plus 'i dont want my face re-arranged' thoughts made me go straight into track mode. Id only done a few track days at this point, but it had taught me what the cav was capable of, so i pulled away from him, and hung a left into a country road, and blasted down it. I was quite shocked that the 'meat head' was keeping up with me, and this little chase lasted about 15 mins, until finally the 'meat head' decided to flick his flashing blue lights on.

Not the meat head then!

Luckily, due to him being on his own, and only in a panda car, all he could do was give me a producer and a royal rollicking, but it WAS a royal rollicking, and ill never forget it.

he did say he was going after the merc until he saw me go past at which point he said his exact words to his collegue were "**** me hes flying!" lol

he had to choose one of us to pull and cos i was goin quite a bit quicker it, was me!
