Ok,I have decided that it would be cool to fit a 1,3 cam in me 1.2,our bro is confident on fitting it,but once fitted, what do I have to do to get it running right?-just set the timing?-or is it more complicated,I can do the timing I think anyways, hows all the peeps getting on that wanted to do it a while back?

i dont think there would be much diff in performance but dont thrust me ask someone whos done it id say go for more of a performance cam eg piper, schrick etc cause the 1.2 cam has 5.1mm lift and the 1.3 has 6.0mm lift but as for timing should be the same id say

Timing is as per manufacturers spec. Yes there will be a reasonable change in performance. Some piper cams are only 1mm greater in lift. Any more than that and you loose low down torque (which u cant afford in a 1.2).

Micky, u shouldnt need uprated springs to go over 6000rpm.
Slatter, most of the engines will go to 7500rpm, its just where peak power is delivered that counts, and a piper one is probably best between 4500 and 6500
