My nova is lowered 60mm, what size tyres would I need 4 a safe clearance of my front arches on 16's?

The fronts should be OK the rears will be the problem.

At the moment I have 15's with 50's. I am getting my car sprayed at the weekend and don't want the arches to get fucked. The lips on the front are cut away by about half and the rear has nearly no lip.

What problems will I have with the 16's??

Are the 15s you've got a 49mm vauxhall offset, if you put 16s on you will need to stick fairly close to this. Most novas seem to have 195/45/16s i think this is the best you can get unless enybody knows of a 40 profile?

I just got off the phone to C.A.R. and they reckon I can't get 40's on a 16. I have calibra turbo wheels at the moment (or tigra ones) so they are 49 off set. I want to buy Sams speedlines which are also on a 49 off set.

If I get the speedlines, I might have to wait to get some bump stops to heighten the car a bit. But I don't know if it is worth the hassle.

I recon if youv'e got the 50/15s under 40/16s will just about go. especially scince the speedlines are only 6.5" wide.

I told C.A.R. that they where 7" wide (I didn't know) would the fact that it is 6.5" wide make a difference in what profile was avalivble?
