exhaust knocking ????

hey, i have a lil problem with my nova and need some help before i rip the whole exhaust off to see whats the problem! the exhaust knocks on the underside of the gearshifter housing (nasty louad knocking) i think its since i put a diffrent back box on and iv got the rubber mouting on the back box on the 2nd hole up and wondered weather this was to hight moveing the whole exhause up a fraction and causeing it to knock????

yer im sure its sittin high rather than low but it looks nicer hight sits nicer under the bumper better!

Try lowering the backbox a bit and see if it still does it. Is it a standard system on it? Aftermarket systems can be a terrible fit, i found sportex arent very good

Yeah, surpisingly altering the rearbox position changes how the whole system sits.

That sorted mine when it tapped slightly on the floorpan.

yer its a standard gsi system just a nice back box i will get the back box off and re-position it soon but seams a shame as its suck a good seal on the back box lol.
