My nova's been stood since october.

I finally returned home today, and after jump starting the car (flat battery) i noticed the Interior Fan wasn't working.

Blown fuse = so i replaced with a 20 (same rating) and restarted the car. The fuse blew again.

Any ideas !? The car has been stood. so nothing has changed on it ?

possibly where its been stood for a while water may have got into the blower motor and corroded the wiring to it. open the bonnet and take the plastic cover off the motor and have a good look round. they may need stripping and re-wiring of just a ruddy good clean. see if that helps mate:thumb:

either that or due to it being stood water may have got into the motor and stiffened it up a bit. This will cause it to draw more current and blow the fuses. If you havnt already remove the black cover from above the motor and move it round with your fingers applying oil to free it up.

Cheers for the help.

I only recently replaced the plastic covering (above the heater motor) before it stood for a few months.

So i guess that's a likely candidate. I'l have a look today

Thanks nick

Replaced with a 25amp and loosened the motor up a bit (wasn't very stuck, and the wiring is intact)

It works fine now, but the motor is produced a whirring noise, which i assume is bushing/bearings. So i'l source a new one at some point

But it's working - saves me from freezing/driving the renault :tard:

Cheers Chris
