View Full Version : Mk2 wings on mk1

Right then, I`ve just bought a pair of wide front wings for my GTE, problem is they`re mk2 ones. Can I just chop the front bit off the wing and turn it into a mk1 or are there other fifferences (bumper mounting etc)? Cheers all. ;)

No!..
the indecators are different on a Mk2, the wrap around theside of the wings unlike the Mk1 wings

If I buy the mk2 headlights, do i need all the motorised bollox as well? Cant I just modify a pair of mk2 indicators to fit instead? Sorry for all the questions but I`ve just about run out of money!!

I don't think u hav to have the headlights motorised just as long as they sit at the right height, the indicators should ft straight in. As for the bumper, desnt make a difference but u will have to get the grill!!!

I`m gonna attach the indicators to the wings and keep the original grill, headlights, bumper. Sould look a bit different 1/2 facelifted!

No probs, it`s looking a bit rough with the fibreglass arches but still a little different!
