I have got an F reg GTE and my rev limiter comes in about half way into the red, but my mate has an F reg one as well and he can take his all the way round to the end of the rev counter (stoopid I know). Is this normal ????? why hasn't he got a limiter ?

He has, but his car is probaly chipped. U should b able to get 6800rpm, and he will either get 7000 or 7200!
I have a superchip for sale if ur interested and it does make a difference!!

As long as the engine is in good nick, 7000rpm is not stoopid. Races can be won and lost by using your available revs well.

My engines done 100k and I wouldn`t fancy hitting the limitter all the time, must be getting soft in my old age!!
