I don't know much about what you would need but I do know it'd be from a Corsa. There was one on eBay a while ago selling for ?100 or so.
I understand where you're coming from though, it makes the drive that little bit easier!

2 ways.

Most popular & easiest is to get the elecrically assisted column from a late Corsa 'B' or C. You just fit the column (weld in the brackets) & connect it to your std rack or any kwik rack. Theres some wiring to do & bits & bobs but this is the preferred way & this kit has enabled almost any car to have power steering conversions. (mk1 & 2 rally Escorts etc).

Other option is the hydraulic rack from a Corsa B GSi, You need to have the track rods shortened & re-threaded slightly to the narrower track width of the nova. Couple this to a 12v electric pump from say a Saxo (106), Clio or mk4 Astra & get the pipework made & obviously a fluid reservoir. The hole in the bulkhead needs to be enlarged as the 'hydro' rack has a larger knuckle where it enters the cabin.

(I'm doing the 2nd option). Rack is fitted but I need to get the hoses made & make a bracket for my pump.
