hi lad building a courtenay gsi at the moment,1.6 turbo
what mechanical parts would you deam essential to fit/replace
any ideas please
i know this is a big question but i want to make sure i havnt missed anything be4 it goes back together

As I said in PMs ideally you would get some pistons from Mvaux that will lower the CR properly. Everything else will cope, you have a newly rebuilt (7k) engine anyway.
Unless you go for standalone management & a custom turbo cam the rest will be fine.

Have the injectors cleaned & get a new fuel pump maybe.

fuel pump is a caviler gsi jobie only new
took the engine apart again to give it a good clean,seemd to be alot of carbon??injecters are cleand.i didnt realise there was only 7k on it,i thought there was 20k,not to worry lol
i was really talkin bout stuff like ball joints,steerin racks etc
what stuff i should be gettin replaced/recondition on a 15 year old car

All bushes, ball joints, suspension top mounts ...
Brake lines, fuel lines....everything tbh.
