wank cold heaters

my heaters started off crap and now all they do is blow freezing cold air through. when the switch is in the red. Does anyone know what is wrong :-/

It may sound a bit obvious but have u checked to see if u have water in the rad, coz mine was freezing because there was no water in it.

I have to agree with Eybic on this one, when my water pump was fuuked I had no water and the heater didn't work, as soon as I filled it up the heater worked again, failing that it could be the thermostat.

mine was doing this and it turned out to be the actual linkage connecting the knob that goes under the dash. it had come loose or something , anyway its easily fixed if it is that.

Or your heater matrix could be blocked.

lol, i've had 3 probs with mine since new engine!!
1). Ran out of water so no warm air!!
2). Plastic piece broke on control so it was stuck on medium heat for ages!
3). Squashed water pipe to heater matrix, so warm water was bypassing the matrix! Easily fixed by movin em around. (Also bad flow to inlet manifold causing shity performance).
