Headlight Levelers??

I've got a mk1 nova and have fitted a mk2 front end and dashboard. I've wired the motors up so the trigger comes from the switch. The the positive and negative on the motors connect to the positive and negative on the dipped lights.

So what happens is when u switch the dipped headlights on the motors completly retract aiming the beams up. But when u switch the main beams on the completly extend pointing the beams at the ground. Just wondering if this is right cause its weird havin the motors change wheneva the lights are turned on?

Nope its not right. They should only work from activating the 3 positional dial switch on the dash. Have a look at an SR with it fitted as standard. You should have a separate feed independant to the lights.
