View Full Version : fan fuse keeps blowing
can anyone help me, whenever i turn on my internal fans the fuse blows.... any ideas?
It probably siezed. Take the plastic cover of the fan and see if the fan will spin.
k il try it, but it worked fine b4 it went into the garage 4 an engine rebuild
the fan switch can short out, or the fan speed resistor.
where will i find the 'fan speed resistor'?
I don't know, but I did one on a mk3 astra & it was inside the fan unit next to the motor

fan resistor is on the fan motor, look for a cylindrical shaped piece of ceramic

Mine keep blowing. I used some WD40 soaked the hole fan. worked for a few days. went off. The fuse had blown again and melted to my fuse box:cry:. now i cant put a new fuse in plus i need a new fan that works:tard:. Buy a fan off ebay or try and repair the one you have. dont just keep changing the fuse as what i did (Dumb Ass) because im lazy and cold. lol I wonder if its easy to change the fuse box. aint had a look!
