idle probs again

ok mine is a 1.4 sr on a k reg. The engine tends to jump up to 2000 revs when idling. If I tap on the accelerator it usually goes back down to 1000. its not too much of a problem but it is annoying. I know there has been alot of these kind of posts recently so sorry if its becoming boring but the other people who have had this problem have had sri's or gsi's.

screw on back of carb facing back its a long screw awkward to get at.

turn that and set ur idle at 950-1000 revs.

if that not problem ur choke is sticking id say.

yeah but sometimes it sinks to less than 1000 so if i lower it anymore it will just die.

think ur auto choke is sticking then.

Think yourself lucky... my car idles between 1500 and 2000 rpm wont go lower or else it stalls

Sticking throttle cable? or the linkage on the carb etc?
