View Full Version : 1.0 to 1.5 TD??

I have one coming up cheap after xmas a whole car (rotten) with a mint engine and box and all running gear for ?120 just wondering what needs changing?? I think 1 engine mount needs changing and the fuel tank lines etc?? cheers - i hear these engines can be right little grunters!!:D :thumb:

You'll need to change the loom, clockset, tank and lines and ditch the coil.

I can't think of anything else at the min.

I think the mount itself has to be re-welded in a different position.

Shafts are the same iirc.

ye i thought the shafts were the 22 spline 1s the same as the xe?? or i am somewhere else lol?? i will have everything off the other car so i only need 2 know what i have 2 alter lol i do a ****load of miles all the time want something economical and quick so i thought TD all the way!!:thumb:

Yeah they are, but there fitted with normal nova cv's, which fit the nova box/hubs.
So all's good.

does the chassis of a 1.0l vauxhall nova can handle the 1.5td or re enforcments are needed?
