I'm in the process of putting a mk2 dash in my mk1. I am currently swapping all the plugs for switches etc. When wiring the instrument panel [clocks] I found that the mk1 plug has 12 pins and the mk2 has 14 pins. Some of the wire colours are also different and I am now a little confused about how these wires link up!!! I have soldered all of the matching wores but don't know what to do with the rest. Has anybody already done this and can u please help???? P.S. The mk1 instrmnt panel has needles on the battery and fuel pressure gauges, the mk2 instrmnt panel has illuminated ones!
