fuel mixture settin for sr

hi all, just had my 1.4sr down at my m8s garage and he turned up the fuel mixture to around 2.8 because he has a propa metre thing at his work, just wondered if that sounds correct to any1 and if it's not correct whats should the mixture b at, bit of a long shot but cheers guys

2.8 % co? way too high, vaux state it should be 1.5%, +/-0.5%, so it should be 2 at the maximum.
