hi guys ive got a jreg mk2 nova its a 1.2 carb and was wondering if any1 new whether these are 22 spline or not... cheers jamie

nope they will not be 22 spline, all GTE's and some TD's had them as far as I know. Not sure on the GSI's though tbh.
yeah gsi's have them too,
Only some gsi's had them (only the early ones i think)
Sometimes pot luck tho, a few people have had 1.2 novas with 22spline shafts, depends what gm chucked on.

Yes, but yours is a GTE in the UK
its hit and miss with the GTE's, more likely to be on an E or F plate.
On SOME gsi's, but much less fequently.
Tend to be on H reg Gsi's as that was the cross over between mk1 and mk2.
I had an early 91 J-reg GSi with E16SE & F13CR with 22 splines.

Contrary to Gunzi's popular beleif..my H plate Nova GSi (built Nov 90) does not have 22 spline shafts.

Some gsi's came with a 22 in one side and a 28 in the other, as said, depends on which parts bin the fitter put his hand into at the factory.
