selling my mate all my xe stuff as i fitted a turbo engine. His nova currently has a 1.4 engine (k reg) but im planning to use the calibra turbo fuel pump so giving him my old nova one. im presuming my nova has the injection tank but is it really needed or can you just use the xe fuel pump and original tank if it aint an injection one. dont know the differences as never looked
If his 1.4 is single-p injection he can just swap his spi pump for a mpi in-tank one.
Or if its MPI his pump will be fine.

The calibra pump is an internal pump so will only work if your nova is spi. But like said if its the sri mpi engine then you can use that pump.
you can't run an injection engine on a a carberettor tank, even if you put the gsi pump inline, i went from 1.4 carb to 1.6 gsi engine and used my carb tank with a gsi fuel pump, suffered badly from fuel starvation and splutters like mad at high revs and everytime i went into a corner, fitted a gsi tank, and it was fine from then on!
altho if his is a k-reg 1.4 shudn't it be injection anyway? not sure?
and the gsi tank has a swirl pot in it to suply the demand of the injection as apose to the carerettor by the way!

dunno what my nova was running then, has an external bosch fuel pump and it started life as a 1.4SR (1989). I just presumed it was running the cavalier pump the engine came from. Will need to look into it
