which backbox?

just wondering what backbox i should get, when i get my nova it will me a mk2 1.0/1.2/1.4 sr/sri, nothing bigger, but cant be bothered spending loads of money on a full system, just going to ask what kind of backbox is best, ashley, rage, peco etc, i have a rage st10 5'' outrolled which i picked up for cheap a while back, as they were around 100 to buy i thought why not, looks nice to be honest, has anybody used one of these before? and how quiet/loud are they? cheers:)

You probably mean mk2 ;) I currently got a sportex on my mk1 1.2 Nova. 3" round tailpipe. Its a good exhaust for the price, at the time got it for ?59.

Quite quiet when idleing and driving normally but gets louder on full throttle but not too loud although I'd prefer it to be a bit less raspy :) but you cant always get what you want lol

I say the Sportex "4 is spot on they sound ace too,and not too OTT like them crappy peco ones or Rage stuff.

magnex 3", sound great, not overly loud, just a nice and deep tone

Sportex/Ashley rot quite quickly too, with them being mild steel.

They do sound nice tho :thumb:

Put a wanted ad for the standard GTE Peco back box.

Thats plenty good enough and will be cheap.

i have already got a rage st10, only backbox i would be interested in i think would be a magnex as they are known for beein top stuff, or a cherrybomb :D, by the way how do you put that different coloured writing text underneath your post? cheers:thumb:

you say fullsystem are a lot of dosh but if you keep your eyes out on ebay and stuff you can pick them up cheap enough, i got a magxet full system for ?80 and only around the M25 to get it.

CHERRY BOMB! Mine sounds really nice at low revs, wasn't too expensive and looks nice 3" tail pipe, but is a tad on the noisy side.

haha cherry bomb ive just ripped mine off my 1.2 and replaced it ith a lovely standard one :)
