if you insure a 2nd car would you get a discount?
also if you show the insurance company that it was a restoration would it cost more or less? :confused:

Depends on the company. Some places will mirror your NCB; some places will give you a discount; and some places won't do either.

As for the restoration - choose a classic policy with limited mileage (assuming the car isn't going very far if its a second car or being rebuilt?). You don't use any NCB on classic policies anyway, so that negates the whole problem of discounted/mirrored NCB.

Few years ago with HIC I paid ?190ish FC for my hatch, and ?260 TPF&T for my saloon, both normal policies with unlimited mileage with my - at the time - 4 or 5 years ncb being used on the hatch.
