View Full Version : cav turbo clocks reading wrong in nova !
speedo reading wrong in my nova, its got a f20 gearbox an the dials are out of a cavalier turbo, any advice would be great
The 160mph clocks have gotta be run with an F28 really as the speedo drives are different.
Saying that tho mines on a F28 and they were miles out, read about 20mph high !! Think this becuase the wheels are a lot smaller than they are on a Cav / Calibra, i ended up swaping the actual dial face from a std Cav so the speedo reads to 140 instead of 160, checked it with GPS and its pretty much bang on now, reads about 3 - 4 mph high.

Reckon you'll be better off fitting some from a std Cav / Calibra, unless you wanna start swapping speedo drives & f*cking on with different dial faces.

thanks for that rich, ill be putting the 6 speed in shortley so ill live with it for now

You'll still have to swap the dial face tho, 5 mins job, the face of the dial just clips on / off
