nooooooooooo dont fit a single carb to a 1.6 enigne when its working fine as MPI, its a piece of wee wee to wire up.

fuel pump, some lives, some earths and yoru sorted

Doesnt the fuel tank and fuel lines need replacing if you are going from carb to MPI though?

yep and your gonna need a return fuel line off of the gsi too. but as above dont put the carb on it. spend an extra day or 2 it will be worth it.

fitting a carb (properly) to a 1.6 will make it have the same power as a 1.4..... your best off persivering with the mpi route to keep the 100bhp
