mk2 hazard light switch

i guess u all know that when u have a mk2 dash and u turn the hazard switch round the ignition comes on and i heard all u do is put a diode on one of the wires so does any1 which wire i have to cut and put the diode between

The black one (live after ignition). Use a big-ish one as it supplies power to the indicator relay.
