I dont have the spec of the car to hand but im sure it must be fitted with a race clutch to try to avoid that?

it has two 2.1 let engines with nos, we saw it at trax this year. we also noticed it was road taxed for 6 months and it cost ?60 odd. there fore it must be taxed as under a 1.6 cheecky bugger

Is that the Same Nova that was on the Max Power DVD a little while ago?? if so i might be able to dig out the spec...
its the boost beast right? its not even english, and made its english debut at PVS? were it snaped a rear drive shaft clean in half, and still put down a good time on the 1/4 iirc
I was wondering if someone was gona say it was the fabled boost beast!
why does everyone slate it then?

its only slated as Regal claim to have built it etc but itt was built in germany and "owned" in the uk to get round modding laws and taxes there.
Plus it never really performs quite as well as it "should" for longer distances... i think ever time its gone to 1/4 its broken/no showed.

Because Regal take the credit for the build of the thing. Everyone knows Regal are full of ****e.
I doubt it was one of their motorsport driveshafts that let go though...lol

i dont slate it, i think is fab,
i dotn like the fact that regal apprntly say tis theres?
Ah right, sounds like a lot of BS/hype around it!
I looked at the link for it and it doesn't look very well finished tbh! Would be interesting to see underneath it, the drivetrain etc
lol at the fact it still has an ignition barrel also!
Just seen the build pics, looks very pikey imo
Is the nova supposed to be faster than that GTR33? Doesn't look very convincing there! lol
that was in max power years ago, saw it snap a drive-shaft at PV
when the guy was swapping a shaft on the regal stand i fell over him !!
Ive never rated it TBH, for something that light with that much BHP, it just doesnt seem to deliver. Compare it to the 'Bigdub' and you'll see what i mean.

Bear in mind when these video's were taken, it was only running approx 600bhp as opposed to the boost beast's 800 odd...

i saw that golf at gti international, looked wicked, and very fast!!

i agree, i blame it on the driver !! maybe they should let me have a go ??
Problem with that car is its never been reliable sadly.
It was also never anywhere near 800bhp iirc
It also never ran nitrous from what I remember
The Dubsport stuff is brilliant, well reliable.
2 engines in one car is a ****e idea imo.

I think you'll find it did at one point, each engine ran approaching 400 bhp including nitrous. Not for long though lol

this car was in Fast Car mag a few years ago
That video was taken at goodwood race track, but Im not sure how long ago. Wish I knew that thing was there though, Goodwooods only a 10 minute drive up the road!!
T78 turbo seems to be run by people with ~500bhp+ on the GTR forum. Quite laggy tho, and bear in mind lighter = harder to get traction

I stand very corrected then lol
Tight **** *******s probably got the cheapest nitrous kits available from ebay.
Anyone even thinking that car is good needs their heads looking at.
That guy who built the rwd nova recently as done as good job in his garage/driveway.
Totally crap demo car IMO

i no it may be fun but.....cant go wrong with a fwd ex/let!! simple is always the best way!!

It was a cunning idea just really really badly implemented.

hit the nail on the head there :thumb:

lmfao, traction not a problem then? lol

I must disagree with you there Jonboy. BHP sells cars and thats what Regal want so that Tom, Dick or Harry looks in a magazine (because thats where all the best tuners are??) and see a 600hp nova, nice one they can fit a panel filter and backbox to my vectra gsi and give me 300hp.
Gay but true, oh and tuners out of magazines are also gay.

It was built by Regal & EDS motorsport.
I looked at the link for it and it doesn't look very well finished tbh! Would be interesting to see underneath it, the drivetrain etc

If you read it they carefully talk of a calaboration with them and EDS. lol
Further reading here http://www.eds-motorsport.de/Boost-Beast/boost-beast-DE/ shows the regal bloke with the EDS bloke, im gonna get my german colleauge to translate a bit of it for me 2moro
I suppose if you consider the market they are trying to crack then yes its a good car, Its a budget demo car in terms of what everyone else is building these days.
If it was spaceframed running sorted suspension all round and loads of aeroquip then maybe I would have some time for it.
As much as I like straight line racing like yourself I do like cars that can actually go round corners too ;)
The underside looks about as pretty as the panel gaps lol
i reckon everyone on here could band together and build something better tbh

i saw it at maxpower live in london the first time it was on there. it was on a 4 poster ramp high up in the air so you could stand under it, and have a butchers i was only 15 though. i saw it at trax this year got a piccy on my phone, i tis rough!

its a good idea just a sh*t outcome
Alright, i must say this. What the **** are you lot on about? Its a c650 BHP twin engined Monster, Of Co**** the panels wont fit right, would your Nova Panels be A1 if you had the ability to dirve above 170mph? of co**** things are gonna break on it, i mean its got 2x LETS in the ****iing thing. It may not be Mint but i'm sure they hadn't thought on that when they decided to give it power close to that of an F1 car.
IMO, its fantastic, not a fan of how wide the track is on the car and the Runded Arches, but Recpect is due to the Germans that did actually build it.

I was there to see that too. Yeah you could pretty much walk underneath it, rather cool Nova. Probs got a few pics of it somewhere.
