yes they are the same, the difference is in where the selector is. Has a notch that wont allow 5th gear.

the linkage is the same, the stick assembly is different. the 5 speed has an extra detent spring

my cars had the 4 to 5 speed conversion done and 3rd gear and 5th gear are practically in the same spot...

the nova gear linkage is a barstad! when i changed engine before the fuss with the selctor, putting the gear stick in one place then putting a 5mil drill peice in the box :S took me ages to get it right. my sisters nissan micra when i changed the clutch all it took was one bolt to remove the linkage andthe same to replace it, simple :S

Nova gear linkage is dead easy setup, stick the lever in neutral position, undo clamp bolt, fit drill bit into selector hole, have someone hold the lever across to the left side(1st/2nd gear) then tighten the clamp bolt.

right ive put the linkage in this afternoon and it seems to be fouling the speedo cable on my f10 box. the cable is from my spi engine, i think that had an f10 too but 5 speed

where's the selector hole for the drill bit to fit?

if you look next to where the selector goes in to the box there should be a plastic bung, smal and round. mines yellow ish!
just pull that out
