Im doing an IT essay about computers for children and how it all fits into the National Curriculum. Ive mentioned Windows media player, what would the 'buttons' on it be called (the play button, the stop button etc) Im trying to say kids need to be able to work a tape player then they can understand these (user interfaces?) and its almost second nature to use them.

lol it's the User Interface.

doesnt matter if its a graphical one, or a phisical one... they're still a user interface. The User Interface is the thing that allows you, the user, to interface with, or use, the item in question.

My daughter isn't even two, and she works the CD player (obviously not putting discs in) and the DVD player, and i've just bought a 44 inch TV so no doubt by tomorrow she'll know how to work that too! but even with her at this age, i think using anything like a computer is easier for her than me!

lol 42" would be far to big for me.

We decided that 32" was plenty big enough for the living room.
My brother has a 42"er in his bedroom but its mahoooooooosive and hard to look at the whole screen in one go.
