ok so im going to be wanting to insure a 2.0 16v nova soon and was wondering who are the best companies to get quotes off, im 21 iv never crashed but i dont have no claims bonus because iv never kept insurance for long, i got a quote on a nova gsi the other day just to see how much it would be and the cheapest was ?425 and the dearest over ?1000, how much do you think it might be?
cheers :thumb:
How long is a piece of string lol
Try Flux, Sky, HIC.... think about limiting the mileage and perhaps a classic policy to keep the cost down. I had a quote from HIC for an XE in the saloon as ?600ish I think it was, with no NCB but about 5k limited mileage. However, I'm 24 and live in a cheap insurance area lol!

yeah i live in a low crime area and it will be garaged and probably under 5000 miles lol but on the insurance sites i have bin on i couldent declare it as a 2.0 16v, only a 1.6 16v gsi??
You'll have to phone round, as it is a conversion and won't be on their system to select automatically through the web.
HIC have an online quote system that allows for engine conversions?
Can't remember the website address off the top of my head, so have a look on google.

As well as the ones mentioned also try Admiral mate, i do recomend them as they have been the cheapest insurer for me by far compared to the rest (ok I dont have a XE fitted) but many minor modifications make minor difference to the quote.
Also their site has a list of mods to show what you have done so no nasty surprises when you ring them up.
Be handy to know if Admiral will cover engine conversions - I emailled them a while back but no word. Might ring them if I can be bothered to actually speak to someone lol
just got a quote on my 2 door saloon with a redtop fitted and extras under classic insurance with and agreed value of ?2000 for ?290 :D thanks guys for recomending HIC
Thats fscking cheap....! How old are you?
