My 1.4 merit nova mk1 is for sale due to new car.
It has mot and tax until end of march next year.
It was a 1.2 (still registered to a 1.2) but then i decided i needed more power and put a 1.4 in it from an sr i used to have.
The bottom end has done 100k but its fine no smoke no rattling nothing, i rebuilt the top end as well, there is a slight oil leak but i cannot pin point it.
The engine has only done 4k since i rebuilt the top end, i had the head skimmed, i relapped all the valves in, all new oil vavle seals, new camshaft seal, new oil pump seal(from vauxhall), new head gasket, new cambelt and tensioner.
The camshaft has been changed to a 1.6 one from a nova gte with all the followers ,hydraulic tappets and fingers with it, so it will have a bit more power.
It has a 32/34 dmtl carbourettor which has done 3k as well, it runs a bit iffy when cold but what do you expect its a carbourettor, i had to take off the choke because it was overfuelling.
The ignition system is of a mk2 astra which has a ecu so it has a limiter, the car revs to 6800 rpm when it hits the limiter which is high but doesn't matter because of the 1.6 cam.
The nova used to be a 4 speed so i put a 5 speed short ratio gearbox from a gte as well so its really torque.:D
In the interior of the car there is gte clocks which all work but i havent wired up the oil pressure sender yet but its on the car, there is a stain on the passangers seat which was there when i got the car, i changed the drivers seat because it brokelol
The exterior of the car is pretty good apart from a couple tiny dents on the bonnet, bit of rust on the rear left arch which is common (you will see what i mean on the picture),scraches on the rear left quarter which was all ready there when i brought it almost a year ago, I had to weld the boot as there was a hole to get it through the mot, the paint has slightly faded but not to much.
The car is lowered 60 mm on gmax springs, it has astra 14inch alloys the tread is good all round, there is a nova gte front bumper on it and a stainless steel back box on it with a 1.4 sr new exhaust system which iput on there a couple months ago.
