when i take my foot of the clutch while its ticking over it humes and bangs what could it be any ideas

dunno, i have a similar problem with mine, when i take my foot of the clutch it rattles and makes a wining sound! i think its probably due to the fact its been upside down (my theory anyway)

usually clutch release bearing i think

will get my car finished one day

Yep sounds like a clutch release bearing don't worry do it when the clutch goes.

yep, but when they go, they go quickly so fix it b4 its too l8, or you`ll have to drive home stuck in gear. I let one get to that point and it eat thru the fork that slides it too.

my thrust bearing went the otehr day and it riped all the fingers of the clutch. becareful though because if htey snap it make it hard to get the clutch out without removeing the gearbox
