Seller ended listing early, think ?750 BIN may have been a bit of an error!

Did you find it in completed listings mate? I aint looked back for it lol

I messaged him straight away, even if it was a rotter, slam pan showed some rot on r/h corner and it looked like it had a diff wing on one side.. It still woulda been awesome to have an L reg GSi - the stuff of my dreams  lol

Went to view this before it went up on ebay, body was quiet rough, needed new bumbers, grill and a full respray, seemed fairly solid underneath though, would be a good project for someone with time on there hands, which i don't have, and a bonus being on an L plate too..

Must have been kicking round on a forecourt unsold for a few months and only registered when L plates were being issued.

I can see the novelty value of an L reg GSi but they were all made upto a point in the same factory regardless of age. Just cos it got registered a month or so either way doesnt make it any better or rarer than a K plater.

If I put some L reg plates on my GSi at a show, would it ensure a constant crowd of onlookers? (sadly yes)!

The L plate white GSi I've always been a fan of belongs to a lad who's a bodyman for VX in Newcastle and it's now a 1.6 turbo, polished cage, flushed boot (actuallly looks good) such a nice spotless car :thumb:

Ahh i remember the days when I would see it with nothing more than a 60mm drop, a storm wiper and a VX seat cover :D

Pictures of my L reg gsi just before i sold it in early 2003. Had just short of 60K on it when sold and then later saw it on ebay having been converted to a 2ltr 16v. Sold to a guy in Glasgow but not sure if its still about...

Ah you mean dave!!, hes a mechanic not a body man - hense the home made turbo conversion which was top class, its being rebuilt as we speak should be ready early next year i think, new panels etc bigger intercooler and much more, its in the features section :thumb:

Whats so special about L reg GSi's?

They were registered after 1st Aug 93..big deal.

Most people on here get excited about A reg SR's with 'snowplough' fr bumpers. Going by that mentality a late GSi shouldnt really cause such a stir. I understand they are few & far between but its not like they were a limited run with leather & 16v engines or something.....

THEY ARE NOT RARE!

No. & I wouldnt mind betting that some K reg GSi's have later chassis & engine numbers than these L reg ones!

At the end of the day they were probably sold cheap to move them on. I mean if you bought a brand spanking Corsa C tomorrow from your local dealer, you'd want it cheap as the Corsa D is out now, I mean who buys an old model when the new one is days/weeks away? (or already launched in this case)

There were 9 L reg GSi's

I've heard 32

I see mine as being special, whether or not people see them as just being a K reg and being late registered. If it wasn't that bit rare, i wouldn't be getting comments on the reg.

Theres no way to count them, its not like vauxhall kept a list, its dealers that register them, hence somewhere theyre being an N reg nova IIRC.

Theres stacks of N reg vans apparently. Ive seen a couple.

Imagine the potential jizz that would be aimed at an N reg Nova at a show?
