I bought this little ripper about 2 months back for ?150 with 12 months mot. I intended to clean the arches up and sell it for twice wat i paid as its quite mint. But however things have changed and now im keeping her. The doors are mint and the sills battery tray, boot etc but she does need a new set of rear arches and a n/s front wing. I have bout me a full gmax kit and some cavi gsi wheels which i have sprayed gloss black (took me ages 2 rub the fukers down) i work next to a bodyshop so i am going to do a semi self prep lol (no rushing for sure) have got me new rear arch panels and ordering the wiong next week then hopefully before xmas maybe after i will get her respayed in Kawasaki Green. I no there is a few bin done before but none round here and a certain eye catcher im keeping it going to keep it a mk1 gte rep. The after xmas towards may i will treat her to a new lump probz a c16se :thumb: The fun starts!! (Sorry about the S.A lol)

picture update.....

new arches fitted, lots of things smoothed, - bonnet, door handles, boot etc

also cav gsi slabs have gone (sold) and gsi 3 spokes are on for time beeing! :thumb:

yes and no lol. The arches were welded on at the bodyshop and all my preping is being done there, with the advise of the bodyshop and help so its all good spent 3 full days sanding it down and filling over and over but its not quite there yet then the bodyshop will spray it next week. Changed colour its no going to be Aprilla Green instaead of kawasaki green lol:thumb:

Nobby i find this quite funny...i saw your old nova ages ago when you poped by at a place i was working at in store bridge (i think i did pm you about it lol)

And now this is where it gets strange,that garage your getting the work done at is where i bought my passat from its a small place called kinver,theres a well nice carrdo in the show room.

todays progress lol

stripped all rear glass and all lights rubber window seals, rear bumper, wipers, wing mirrors basically everything that would get in the way!! repairs have had filler primer on them and should get sprayed tommorow (thursday)!!
Colour has changed again lol its now going to be VW Super green!

DIB - yes lol i have heard that there is one in Kiddy thats Kawasaki Green but not aprilla green like mine will be lol :thumb:

Duno mate was a while ago now,you poped down near where i was working in stour bridge the place i was at is called DHA devonshire House Assosiates/Ethous dishn,there an exherbition makers,i think your droping some one off or getting food from the butty van,is it porky's?

And yeah i got the passat from TVS,theres a nicce carrdo in there,i was telling the guy i own a nova on TB's lol

If you know the lads at the body shop do you recon they might do some work cheeper for you (and anyone you might kinda know of nl lol)

lol thank fuk because its bin doing my head in because ive had to dive it round or have no car lol and people laughing at it because it looked a state with the filler etc and i just wanted my end product before xmas.
Its got a few snotters in it but they will be sorted after xmas, i want to leave the paint to settle 1st pics dont do its justice will get some better ones asap!!

I sprayed a metro GTa 16v seat kiwi yellow about 5 years ago,seemed like a good idea at the time but i went off it quickly,did get good money for it after though:thumb:

agreed really shouldent have sprayed the grill, bumper and skirts green it way too much.
it would look soooooo much better if you had kept the grill bumper and skirts black.

Nathan Nova nice ideas but i wanted them colour coded because there alot round here with black bumpers and TBH i dont think it would stand out as much - i saw a pic of one with black bumpers and it looked pretty poo lol but as i said each to there own!! :D

Get a Black pin stripe in the bumpers. That'll help break it up a bit.

lol yeah that where i got my idea from lol but i stayed mk1 and im keeping my black wheels to be abit different. The colour is different to its VW Spanish Green that was suppost 2 have been used on the old Lupos and Polos but im yet to see 1 lol its amazing how much attention you get in it, its crazy but i love it lol!!
