View Full Version : Anyone got any pics of GSI rear end?
Hello! im after some piccies of the rear end of GSI's, in different colours, exhausts etc. Reason i ask is, im thinking of getting a GSI rear bumper, and i dunno whether to paint them body coloured, or go down the Gloss black/Grey route. What do you reckon? Car is a metallic blue colour. (dunno what its called)

Any pics would be great. :thumb:

I think doing it either way would suit your car nicely.
I'd be tempted to do the Black/anthracite option first. I'll dig out some pics....

This is my GSi. Totally std visually, with the outwardly rolled tailpipe.

That exhaust could be down to either that particular brand of tailbox, maybe its custom or maybe its from a GSi. GTE/mk1 tailpipes should exit at an angle.
Btw; Let me know if you want to get rid of those bumpers?

That colour of the 1st gte is Laser blue and only found on Mk1s, and its the 2nd best colour for a nova (after breeze blue) IMO.
However i dont think the two tone grey bumper look would suit laser blue, infact, the mk2/gsi look wont suit it, stick to colour coded gte items!

On certain makes of back boxes they put double bend in the pipe behind the bumper so that it allows a straight exit. ul notice its a few inches over to the left than a mk2 pipe.

Its Lazer Blue like you said..... get it right. :D
Some people like a change. I'm going to have anthracite bumpers for a year or so, then I'll go back to flame Red when I'm bored of seeing it in 2 tone.

Note the mesh grille & opened out bumper. I returned to std after the paintwork & rebuild in 2002.
