Right, whilst i have the engine apart i wanna get my carb set up exactly right.
Its a 16sv engine with the standard piesburg 2b carb on it. How the hell do i set this thing up?
You need a exhaust gas analyser to set the mixture etc spot on.

Cant sleep either eh!
Where would i get hold of one of them? Also where is the mixture screw?
What car did the 16SV come out of Luke? I want one of these for my Nova!
I think the basic mixture screw is located around the base of the carb. Best bet is to get a Haynes for the model of car that the engine came out of and there will be a diagram of the carb in that. You will get best results from an exhaust gas analyser though so maybe ask a garage to set it up for you, it shouldn't cost too much.
There out of mk2 astras.
A nova haynes manual covers the almost the exact same engine(1.4Sr engine)
Same carb,inlet etc etc.
A gas analyser is quite expensive to buy, best getting the engine running then taking it to a garage for a krypton tune, should be about ?15/?20 and they'll set the carb mixture etc.
