Right, im new to this big block game, been arsing about with little league nova's for last few years so obviously the next step is XE.

I know where to get parts, but i dont have a clue what ill need other then an engine and gearbox lol

What im after, if someone in the know could just knock me up a list off EVERYTHING (mechanically) ill be needing, like shafts, hubs, what tank, what loom, coil blah blah blah........

Nice one lads (and lasses ;) ) :thumb:

I think Ben's covered it,Lol.

Get the entire XE engine loom including the big bulkhead grommet and loom that enters the car(some people just cut this off at the bulkhead)
You'll need Mk2 Cav 1.6 inner cv joints.

Also, you can use a SPi tank with a mpi pump if you want.

you need a rad other than a 1 litre and is off a injection car. uses diff pipes.

i know its been covered but here is the elist.

nova
c20xe/c20let engine
ecu for the engine.
loom for the engineand rest of ancilaries
gearbox, f16/f20 best bet.
oil cooler if you want it.
radiator and fan as above^^
injection tank and lines and pump.
22 spline shafts with mk2 cav 1.6 big block inner cv's
engine mounts, can buy from chris astley.
uprated suspension and shockers
BIGGER BRAKES!
exhaust manifold off engine to modify to fit nova system
oil and coolant
water
alot of swearing

that should cover it.

just make sure your engine bay is stron enough with enough seam/stitch and or including chassis strengthening plates available from chris astley again. :D

Mike

engine bay will be having a Chris Astley kit and strut top plates welded in by me, aswell as a whole lot of seam welding ;)

The raditor, my SR has presently got an SRi radiator in, i know that as i fitted it, its a copper cored one and it fits a treat with no "random" pipes sticking out so ill be using that.

XE Oil cooler and sandwich plate i also have, as i was going to fit it to the SR but never got round to it, instead i reconned it and it looks MINT lol
