View Full Version : Are gte and gsi servos the same?

Can i use a gte servo on my car. Its a mk2 but dont know if a mk1 servo will fit? :confused:

Yes but use the mastercylinder that comes with the servo too.

Its the MC that will give you a gain, not the servo. Bigger barely makes any difference.

Oh well i can get hold of both just didnt know if the mounting on the servo was diffrent. Ive got a 1.4sr servo. So if i got a gte or gsi mc it would be just as good then.

Us ethe 2 from the same source. I cant remember if the MCs vary on SR/ GTE etc but the fitting may vary in some cases. You cant fit all MCs with all Servos.

The bore size of the MC is what you should be concerned with. Bigger the better essentially (assume you run 16v or V6 calipers)

Yea i will be using astra gte brakes and calipers. So to just be on the safe side i best buy both together. As there so hard to get hold of.

I would suggest you get a complete GTE or GSi MC & Servo from the same car.

Ok thats great. Ive been offerd both from gte for ?25. So now i know it fits ill get them now. Cheers for you help craig:thumb:
