View Full Version : Twin 40 Carbs- what filters?

Any one got twin 40's and what bolt on filter fits and what is the best anyone has used?? I thaught of using ITG or something similar?? any ideas of where to get some at the right price??? Socks will fit but someone said that they are not as good as the foam type.

If you have to use filters use K&N or similar coz foam filters restrict the airflow quite a bit. Better bet is to use fine mesh over the trumpets to stop larger bits of grit, but not restricting airflow at all.

Space is a problem. I tried a piperx coarse foam panel filter which was cut down to fit. It didn't work out too well as it got soaked in petrol and came apart at the glued seams. I would go along with MC with hindsight.
