xe oil pressure problem

got 1.6 16v xe lump in my nova but having problems with the oil pressure its fine when revving the car but left at idle it goes from around 75lbs to 20 any ideas?

it will dip at idle. is it high from cold & then drop as the engine reaches temp?

It should be at its lowest when the engine is hot, and is idling.

Does the oil pressure light come on?

doesnt seem to matter it drops wether hot or cold to be honest someone said could be the pressure relief valve?

we took that pressure switch out to fit the pressure gauge!
