View Full Version : XE Wiring...which loom??

Right, ive got a qeustion, what wiring loom is used when fitting an XE engine into an SR?

Do you use a normal 1.6 GSi loom, or the entire cav/calibra loom???

gsi engine loom and xe engine loom

can use any car loom though

so i could quite esaily match an XE/GSi loom to SR car loom.

Im guessing the XE ECU fits the GSi loom as well as the XE loom no?

no you use the XE engine loom and mate the 6 wires to your car

ahhh, what do i do about wiring in the fuel pump tho??

You will have to run a wire to the fuel pump.
As your SR wont have the wire originally.

Remember to get the entire engine loom(including the bit that goes through the bulkhead to the ecu), and the fuel pump relay, harness etc.

Thats it, Lol.

Then just wire the 6 xe loom wires into the sr loom.
