you can refit them, i just bought a pair last week from VX, cost approx ?40 quid including vat for the pair. They do have a tendency to crack on the ends
The saloon doesn't have them on, I'll get a pic at the weekend if you want.

yes please mate.
?40 seems a tad to high for me(for 2 plastic trips any way)

The problem is that they are hard to get off a nova as they bend... hence no one sells them second hand

Iainel and I were looking into this stuff (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_2046.html) at one point to use as a replacement.

Chrome striping that normally finds its way onto minis can also work quite well apparently.

my old nova i taken them off and it looked fine, i only taken them off because i had the same problem as you. I wouldnt take them off if i diddnt need to tho, to much hassle for a small mod..

i agree if you want it too look the bis, need toget em, besides the news ones are nice and shiny like a metalic dark dark grey, like u im only getting them coz of the respray, will defo enhance the look, (intricate detailing)
chrome stuff looks okay - if yor go for GM parts though make sure you get 3 door as 5 door/saloon different size.
Alex took a pic of the coup? without the gutter trim today - I'll get her to upload it into this thread.

I got hold of new ones when I had mine resprayed. Makes all the difference IMO.
All the pillar trtims, skirts & door handles are all the same Grey, so I chose to keep it all co-ordinated.
